National Chiang kai-sek Memorial Hall 中正纪念堂

Here we reached Taipei, the first destination was National Chiang kai-sek Memorial Hall, 中正纪念堂. This memorial hall is an important landmark of Taipei that attracts large populations of visitors every year so it is a must-to-go place if you are going to Taipei, don't miss it out!!

As the name implies,National Chiang kai-sek Memorial Hall is actually built to commemorate the contribution of the great leader, chiang kai sek 蒋介石. Well, i guess many of you may not know who is CKS??! He is actually a Chinese military and political leader who led the Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalist Party) for five decades and was head of state of the Chinese Nationalist government between 1928 and 1949.

Here, you must see the guards handing over ceremony (卫兵交接仪式) which holds every hour sharp. Well, i had witness the moment by myself. It is unbelievable that the guards stand beside the statue are real soldiers. This is not an easy task you know as they have to stand erectly for one hour without any movement. Of course there are people who specialize to massage their body every half an hour otherwise i think their arms and legs will get stiff. OMG, this is surely a mission impossible to me! :( Salute to them.
