Today i've scalded my hand while having lunch with my collegues, still a bit painful until now. :(
Normally older generation like my grandparents will ask to apply toothpaste immediately if scalded to relieve the pain and i was used to do so while i was young. However, experts has pointed out that this is not scientific if the burn is serious as it may cause more serious burn and leave a scar as the heat beneath the skin cannot be released.
Suggest that if it is not so serious, the most timely and effective ways to deal with is directly pouring the cold water on the red wound for around 10-20 minutes to ease the pain. If serious burns and the area is too large, pls go to the hospital immediately for treatment.
